Quick Thinking

Today was my first day back to work with Publix. The morning started off good because I actually made it to work on time. I have not worked at this store in a while so one of the managers tried to introduce me to as many people as he could. I got to work at 3 and when the next people came in Ernie(the manager) said...
"Ryan, this is Robert the Grocery team leader."
"Very nice to meet you Robert."

As I am greeting Robert I reached for his hand to give him a "nice to meet you" hand shake. Before my hand was completely extended I noticed something that caused me to think very fast. Robert had no right hand, only a thumb. "Do I grasp the thumb and shake or cross over to the other hand?" "If I shake the thumb... NO TIME, Must react!!!" So I smoothly continued my motion strait to his shoulder and gave him a good "nice to meet you" pat on the shoulder. In the end I think it worked out well. Everyone was very friendly and it is nice to be back with some old co-workers.

Is it wrong that I had tears streaming down my face because this made me laugh. Not b/c he didn't have a hand but the way you wrote it. Hilarous!

Hope everything works great for you! Have a blessed week and remember who lives inside of you. He has appointed this time for you in this place and so watch for opportunities to share to love that has been given freely to you. Love, Auntie
My comment sounds a little after your humorous story.

Sounds like a scene from Happy Gilmore. Luke's comment made me think of that. I am enjoying your blog, I found it from Summer's. I need to read more often. It has been good for a laugh. Same ol' Ryan.
